Common questions about receipt conversion

Does it work on phone photos of receipts?

Yes. Our OCR is built for real-world receipts — taken with a phone, sometimes crumpled or faded. We recommend good lighting and a flat surface for best results.

Can it read receipts in different currencies?

Yes. We support 30+ currencies and detect them automatically from the receipt format and symbols.

Does it extract individual items or just the total?

Both. Each line item appears in its own Excel row, with the merchant total preserved separately.

Can I upload multiple receipts at once?

Yes. Take photos of multiple receipts, combine them into one PDF, and upload — each receipt becomes its own Excel sheet.

What about thermal paper receipts that fade?

Faded receipts are challenging — we recommend scanning or photographing them while still legible. Our OCR handles partial fading well.

Is this good for expense reports?

Yes. The output Excel format is designed for easy import into expense management tools and accounting software.
