myocr.app in ChatGPT and Claude

Convert bank statements to Excel, with the balance check, without leaving the chat. With the same connection you can also convert invoices, tables and scanned documents.

What you need

A myocr.app account. It is free and includes 3 pages; each converted document page uses one page of your account.
An assistant: ChatGPT, Claude or another MCP-compatible assistant.

Connect ChatGPT

In the ChatGPT app directory, search for myocr.app and click Connect.
A myocr.app page opens: sign in with the email and password of your myocr.app account.
Check what ChatGPT will be able to do and click Allow.

To try it before it appears in the directory: on a paid ChatGPT plan, turn on developer mode (Settings → Security), then add an app with the address https://www.myocr.app/mcp.

Connect Claude

Open the myocr.app page in the Claude directory and connect myocr.app to Claude. You can also find it inside Claude, in Customize → Connectors: search for myocr.app.
Sign in with your myocr.app account and click Allow.

Alternatively: in Customize → Connectors choose Add custom connector and enter https://www.myocr.app/mcp. This also works on Claude's free plan.

How to use it

Uploading the document

In ChatGPT: upload the PDF in the chat and write, for example: “Convert this bank statement to Excel and tell me if the balances add up”.
In Claude: ask to convert a document. Claude gives you a secure link to upload it, valid for one hour. If the file is already online, you can paste its public link.

What you get

The conversion starts right away: short documents are ready in a few seconds, and for long ones the assistant keeps you updated. At the end you get:

the link to download the file, Excel or text, valid for 7 days;
for bank statements, the balance check: opening balance, credits, debits, closing balance and any difference. If the numbers don't add up, a transaction is missing or was misread.

Limits

Size: up to 100 pages and 30 MB per document, 500 pages with a subscription.
Formats: PDF, PNG, JPG and WEBP.
Conversions at the same time: up to 3.
Same file sent again within 15 minutes: myocr does not convert it again and does not use more pages.

Privacy and security

Password: the assistant never receives your password.
What the assistant can do: only convert documents, read the status of conversions and your page balance.
Disconnecting: at any time from the connected apps page.
Files: they are used only for the conversion, are never used to train models and are deleted after 30 days. Details in the privacy policy.
